The Team

We are Nikki Small and Ann-Marie Warren; and together with Wendy Collins and Helen Faulkner, a few other great friends and supporters, and our fantastic Flagship Group of experienced wool-show vendors; we are the team behind The Internationwool Festival, Anglesey 2019.

Nikki is a life-long wool-addict, enjoying knitting, felting, spinning and dyeing, and has recently opened her shop – Ewe Felty Thing inside Ann’s shop, Promise Art and Crafts in Llandudno. Nikki has always wanted to run her own wool festival having visited many over the years, and both attended and run several smaller events with her own products. With opening the shop in March 2018, Nikki has made many fantastic contacts in the wool community both locally and nationally, and so she and Ann decided that the time was right to take the plunge and launch Internationwool!

Ann-Marie has been running Promise Art and Crafts in Llandudno for over 3 years, and is a much-loved member of the local crafting community, having had over 200 individual crafters represented on the shelves in her shop during this time. Ann-Marie has organised and run many events over the years including a large Christmas Fayre in Llandudno in 2017.

Wendy’s Sweet Pea Shawl Design

Wendy and Helen are both lovely ladies with a passion for crafting. Wendy is an avid crocheter, who often tests patterns for well-known designers, and has recently started creating her own patterns and teaching crochet in the shop. Helen enjoys a multitude of crafts, especially woolly ones, and is often to be found in local craft and chatter groups and frequenting wool shows with Nikki.

Together with some other very supportive friends, we are planning to make The Internationwool Festival the new ‘must visit’ event in the woolly calendar.

If you’d like to speak to us about it, then please get in touch or pop into the shop – Promise Art and Crafts – in Llandudno and say hi!
